The reset cradle is simple and easy to use. Simply remove the lock from the door, remove the SmartKey cylinder plug, insert it into the reset cradle and the cradle will reset the cylinder to learn a new key. This stainless steel side-locking bar also replaces the traditional pin and tumbler design that is particularly vulnerable to lock bumping attacks. The cylinder uses two steel balls inserted into the front of the key face to provide improved drill resistance.
Warranty
This product comes with a lifetime mechanical and finish warranty to the original residential user of Kwikset against defects in material and workmanship as long as the original user occupies the residential premises upon which the product was originally installed. This warranty does not cover scratches; abrasions; deterioration due to the use of paints, solvents or other chemicals; abuse; misuse; or product(s) used in commercial applications.
