With the ability to measure temperatures from negative 20 degrees Fahrenheit to 932 degrees Fahrenheit and a patent-pending LED hot and cold spot indicator, the IR thermometer provides visual and audio alarms to alert contractors in noisy work conditions. Maximum initial battery pack voltage (measured without a workload) is 12 volts. Measured under a workload, nominal voltage is 10.8. Includes a 12V Max Li-Ion Battery (DCB120F). note on battery technology: When batteries are being charged and discharged a chemical reaction is taking place, and if it is too hot or cold the chemical reaction is disturbed causing a loss of runtime. when using the battery in cold climates to put the battery on charge first or do a couple quick applications to get it warmed up. For optimum performance, do not store batteries in areas where the temperature drops below 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
