Product Description Rare earth magnets are the strongest type of permanent magnet currently made. They are amazingly powerful for their size and have innumerable uses. These disc magnets are 0.250 inch (6.4mm) diameter and 0.100 inch (2.5mm) thick. They are magnetized through the thickness. They are composed of grade 40 neodymium iron boron magnetic material and are plated in nickel-copper-nickel for a shiny corrosion resistant finish. Their individual pull force is approximately 2 lbs. Maximum working temperature is 176 F (80 C). Magnets may chip and crack if allowed to snap together

Small but strong March 28, 2007 Mike Anderson (Tacoma, WA) 34 out of 34 found this review helpful
These magnets are small, but they're very strong. I bought them because of a dumb little project I saw online: Add a few of these quarter-inch diameter magnets into the barrel of a bic pen and you can stick the pen right to your refrigerator. Our grocery list has never been so up-to-date!
Too useful November 26, 2007 Erin McPherson 17 out of 17 found this review helpful
My magnets just arrived a few days ago and yet I'm already considering ordering more. Now that I have them here and have seen how strong they are (two of them can hold a calendar up on my fridge which in November is really saying something) I keep thinking of new uses. I'm taking 2 to work tomorrow, no more nametag pin holes in my clothes! Although I initially wanted only a dozen of these for an art project, I'm now planning on ordering more, they're almost too useful!
For use with Magnetic Paint January 8, 2008 Miss_Becki (Kansas City) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I used magnetic paint to paint a section of a wall in my kids' bedrooms (although it's not really magnetic, it's metal, and magnets stick to it). Magnetic paint needs really strong magnets to stick to it, and after doing a little looking on Amazon, I went with these.
I wish I had gotten larger ones. On magnetic paint (4 coats, if you are interested), it takes two of these little magnets to hang one piece of 8.5x11 paper. I'll rate these 5 stars because the magnets are still great, it's just that I should have used bigger ones for my purposes.
Please use adult supervision May 15, 2008 M. J. Green (Southern USA) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
These magnets are unbelievably strong. When I opened the package they literally jumped out of my hand and pinched my other hand. The magnetic field is so strong it is almost visible. (not really) Please be cautious around children I'd hate to see what happens if one or two were ingested. They will also RUIN a television or monitor in short order trust me please. Just don't go there. These aren't just powerfull magnets. They are amazing. I'm going to buy more. Everybody gets rare earth magnets for Christmas 08. The countersunk ones are great for hanging tools, pictures, door latches on cabinets etc. Refrigerators. Fingernails required.
Great purchase! May 14, 2007 Robert D. Gianino 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
These magnets ended up being the exact thing I needed for the metal walls surrounding my cubicle. They are SOOO strong that it's almost comical.
Good transaction. Would buy from this seller again.
