A good choice for general assembly work. The patented thread design and 21-23 degree Type 17 self-drilling point reduces splitting and allows these screws to be driven into most hardwoods without the need for pre-drilling Nibs located under the head cut into the wood as the screw seats to create a clean countersunk finish. Heat treated to just the right degree of hardness, HIGHPOINT Assembly screws are tough enough for most any wood application.The Combination Square/Phillips drive allows you to drive the screws with a square drive bit but also allows removal with a Phillips bit. The Black Oxide finish that will look good, even in visible areas of assembly. The finish is decorative only and these screws are recommended for interior use only. HIGHPOINT General Purpose Screws #9 have #2 combo recess.
